It’s set to be an action packed summer transfer window if rumours about big money moves have anything in them.
The 2018 summer transfer window opens on 1 July and already there have been discussions about clubs considering splashing the cash on Paul Pogba, Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard.
Here, talkSPORT.com looks at a few rumours to have caught the eye, so scroll through the gallery to see the players.
Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has been linked with £100m Real Madrid move – Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane reportedly wanted to sign Hazard last summer, but the Chelsea man is still on the shopping list. Hazards form may not be up to the standards many have come to expect, but he could still cost as much as 100m. He was on hand, though, to help steer Chelsea into a second successive FA Cup final. However, his move may depend on Gareth Bale
Real Madrid to allow £85m Bale leave? Man United have an interest – Reals priority is reportedly in goal and a replacement for Karim Benzema up front, however there are question marks over Bales future again. The player does not want to leave and his contract runs until 2022, though, if Real Madrid want Hazard they may try and force him out. According to the Daily Mail, Bales relationship with Zidane has deteriorated since he was left out of Real Madrids last-16 Champions League first leg against Paris Saint-Germain in February. Last year the boss let James Rodriguez join Bayern on loan because he wanted to play more. This year will be the same – there are important players but they have to sit on the bench. This is the most difficult part of being a coach, he said. Bale started the second leg of the quarter-final against Juventus but was substituted at half-time and there have been too many games this season, when fit, he has not been an automatic selection or has not made an impact.Real paid Spurs £85m for him in 2013 and he could go for similar money again. Manchester City could offload John Stones and recoup at least £50m – According to The Sun, City will let centre-back Stones leave in the summer. The club paid Everton almost £50m for him two years ago and will look to recoup as much as possible for him should they decide to cash in. Arsenal and Liverpool would no doubt love to improve their back line with a player of Stones quality. Neymar to join Real Madrid? This would be HUGE – Neymar has to leave PSG. In football, to be the best, you have to play in Spain. Barca, because of his situation, is difficult. From the information I am getting from people close to him and from what I have heard lately, it is highly likely that Neymar will go to Real in the future. Thats the view from former Barcelona and Brazil attacker Rivaldo, Ballon dOr and World Cup winner. PSG paid Barca £200m for him in 2017, so if he recovers and stars for Brazil at the World Cup, will Real Madrid spring a surprise and snap him up? Nobody wants this to happen at Manchester United – He might not be actively pushing for a move, but there is talk of unrest between midfielder Pogba and his manager, Jose Mourinho. One report claims United want at least £100m for a player they bought for £89m in 2016, though the Old Trafford board are reluctant to sell. French champions Paris Saint-Germain would be willing to pay it, especially if Neymar was actually sold. Riyad Mahrez to finally get that big money move – With his unique blend of skill and creativity, Mahrez has become Leicesters main man and is also desperate to leave the club. He was close to joining Man City in a £60m January move, but the deal fell through and is expected once again to look for a new club in the summer. Monaco could get around £90m for Thomas Lemar – Arsenal were said to be close to sealing a £90m deal for Lemar, 22, in 2017, while Liverpool were also believed to be interested in the talented Monaco man. I will keep working hard so these clubs will eventually come back in the next transfer window, he said in March. I am open to all offers. I am a football player, I like football. I do not close any door." The French club are going to make sure they get all they can for him. Tottenham are going to make sure they are well paid for Danny Rose – Its Daniel Levy, isnt it? Man United are thought to be ready to target Spurs left-back and Levy, the Tottenham chairman is probably going to ask for a similar fee to the one they got for Kyle Walker from Man City. Walker left for £50m in 2017 and with Roses contract not up until 2021, United will have to pay big. The 27-year-old made his displeasure at Spurs wage policy known and also stated in an August interview with The Sun, he did not want the club to sign players you have to Google, and that will play up north before he retires. Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti is being monitored by Manchester United – To stop Man United swooping in and paying £52m his reported release clause for Umtiti, Barcelona will offer him a new contract, according to reports in Spain. A new deal is said to put his release clause at £220m. Clubs to pay through the nose for 'world class' potential in Weigl – If Man City decide Weigl is the man to bolster their midfield and pay in excess of £40m then Pep Guardiola will have a real player on his hands. Toni Kroos, the Real Madrid midfielder who won the 2014 World Cup with Germany, believes Weigl, 22, will become a world class player. Seems like a bargain in that case. Jorginho to cost Premier League clubs around £50m – Jorginho is another midfielder being looked at by Man City, though Liverpool and Man United have shown interest, too. At Napoli, the 26-year-old is playing in one of the slickest sides in football right now and, on the subject of playing in the Premier League, his agent Joao Santos said: Im sure Jorginho has the characteristics to play there. He runs more than 13km every game and he has a great technique. There is talk of a £50m transfer.
