Chelsea have joined Premier League rivals Manchester City in the race for Thomas Lemar.
City boss Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the 21-year-old Frenchman and a move to the Etihad this summer has been suggested.
Howeve, he will face stiff competition to sign the midfielder from the current league leaders Chelsea, who are the latest club to be linked with a swoop.
According to L’Equipe, there is strong interest from both English clubs ahead of the next transfer window and AS Monaco are bracing themselves for bids.
Juventus and Bayern Munich are also keeping a close eye on his progress in France and could firm up their interest with a summer offer too.
However, with his contract not set to run out until 2020, Monaco are not prepared to sell him for anything less than £34m – which represents a staggering profit on the £3m they paid Caen to sign Lemar in 2015.
