Christian Eriksen will travel to Italy for a medical next week ahead of his £17million move to Inter Milan. The Denmark midfielder was not included in Tottenham’s matchday squad for their FA Cup fourth round clash with Southampton on Saturday. Eriksen, whose Spurs contract runs out in the summer, will link up with former Premier League stars Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Young at the San Siro. (FULL STORY)

Manchester United youngster Angel Gomes will treble his wages if he signs a new contract. The 19-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is wanted by Chelsea. He has made just eight appearances so far this season and is yet to start a Premier League game for United. (Sun)

Arsenal are also preparing to treble Gabriel Martinelli’s wages to £30,000-a-week in an attempt to ward off interest from Real Madrid. The 18-year-old has been a revelation since joining the Gunners in a reported £6million deal from Ituano last summer, scoring 10 goals, including a fantastic solo effort against Chelsea on Tuesday. Lille boss Christophe Galtier says he is unsure whether Boubakary Soumare will be at the club when the January transfer window closes. The 20-year-old defender has been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea. Soumare has been a regular starter for Lille, helping them reach fifth place in the table this season. (Goal)

Olivier Giroud is a shock target for Barcelona. The LaLiga giants are in need of a striker with a knee injury ruling Luis Suarez out for four months. Giroud has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan this month, but remains a Chelsea player for now. (Mail)
