Arsenal have had a sensational €100million [£92million] bid accepted for Thomas Lemar, according to reports.
The Gunners have been eyeing the Monaco midfielder all summer and finally made their move on transfer deadline day.
Arsene Wenger is eager to boost his attacking options before the window closes, having allowed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to join Liverpool earlier in the day for around £40million.
Lemar has also been tracked by Liverpool and it has been suggested in the French media that he would favour a move to Jurgen Klopp’s side.
But Arsenal’s bid looks to have blown the Anfield club out of the water and they are now working hard to tie up a deal for the 21-year-old.
Should they bring in Lemar, Arsenal could yet allow Alexis Sanchez to leave the club with Manchester City still pursuing a deal for the Chilean forward.
