Monaco are reportedly considering Liverpool’s club-record bid for Thomas Lemar, but the Reds could face competition from Tottenham.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger revealed last week that the Gunners had ended their interest in the French star, with Monaco appearing to have closed the door on any potential sale.
But the transfer saga turned on its head when Liverpool contacted Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev earlier this week, tabling a bid reportedly worth £74m.
The French champions are seriously considering the offer, which is significantly more than anything they have received for Lemar so far, despite deciding earlier this month to hold on to the France winger.
But the transfer saga could yet change again, as according to Le 10 Sport, Tottenham are now considering making a late bid for the 21-year-old.
Spurs are keen to rival Liverpool’s offer for Lemar but it would appear that Jurgen Klopp’s side still hold a significant advantage in the race for his signature.
