Liverpool have joined Arsenal in the race for Monaco star Thomas Lemar.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a brilliant campaign last season as he helped his club wrestle the Ligue 1 title away from rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
The attacking midfielder’s form has caught the eye of Arsenal and they have reportedly already failed with three bids.
The Gunners are expected to return with yet another offer but, according to Le 10 Sport, they must now fight off competition from Liverpool too.
The Reds are tracking Lemar as they are fearful Philippe Coutinho may leave for Barcelona.
The Spanish club risk losing their own Brazilian star, with Neymar closing in on a move to PSG, and as such they are lining up Coutinho as his replacement.
Should that happen Liverpool will be hunting for a new creative force and they have added Lemar to their growing shortlist.
